Press Statement

StarBrite continues to evolve year after year, as it continues to search for talent throughout the country. Despite the situation in the country and vast economic hardships, we have continued to go the extra mile and do what has never been done before and we shall continue to do the same. Contrary to popular belief, Starbrite does not have all the money in the world to do what it has been doing in the past five years since its resumption.

It is only that we have had amazing partners we can never be able to thank enough, who have sacrificed the little they have to facilitate for the success of our vision and an amazing selfless team of experts in various areas essential to the successful production of the show. People, who have continued to sacrifice their time, resources and effort to identify, develop and strengthen talented, upcoming artist, even from some of the most neglected and overlooked parts of the country.

This year we have gone on to a number of things differently, the preliminaries in the regions, the second and third rounds and the boot camp in Bulawayo were all new. Not only that but this year we divided the country into two parts, the southern region, which comprised of Vic Falls, Hwange, Bulawayo, Gweru, Kwekwe, Kadoma, Zvishavane and Masvingo  and the northern region, which comprised of Mutare, Marondera, Mutoko, Harare, Kariba, Bindura, Chinhoyi, Norton. Moreover, for the first time also, the StartBrite finals are going to be held in Bulawayo
