Ba Shupi is a Zimbabwean born singer, actor, vocalists and song writer who sings his own unique style of urban grooves. His birth name is Peace Ndlovu and the stage name is Ba shupi. He rose to fame with the “Godo” hit song he performed with Stunner. As young as the age of 13, Ba Shupi joined the Amakhosi Theatre Production in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. Drama, music dance became his life. This made Ba shupi tour Zimbabwe, Sweden, Russia, Netherlands, Germany, Uruguay to mention just a few. At the age of 18 he opened his own Theatre Company in Masvingo province named Karanga Arts Promotions. In 2008 he relocated to Malawi where he worked as an Accounting clerk. In 2011 he returned to Zimbabwe where his true destiny as a visual arts performer awaited him. He went on to record his first album Titled Twunonaka. Ba Shupi gives back to the community by working with disadvantaged children and adults’ .he is also involved with AFRICAD Zimbabwe dealing and Tackling stigmatization
Brian Kadengu is Zimbabwean musician who was the first winner of the relaunched version of StarBrite Zimbabwe in 2012. He has performed alongside the likes of Uhuru and Toya Delazy from South Africa, Lucius Banda from Malawi, Young Fathers from the United Kingdom and Mokoomba from Zimbabwe. Brian was born on the third of October 1992. He attended Chemagamba Primary School before he went to Chinhoyi High School where he came out with three A levels. He started his music carrier at school at the age of nine and professionally after leaving school. After winning StarBrite he performed in Chinhoyi sharing stage with the late Oliver Tuku Mtukudzi, Busi Ncube, Rogger Mbambo and other artists each time they came to Chinhoyi. He also performed for students at the Chinhoyi University of Zimbabwe.
Bryan K has since recorded an eight track album titled “NyayaDzerudo” which included titles such as Jamaican Girl, Marunjeya, Matide,Inseperable,Tanya ,usasiyane neni and beautiful you . He also released a single titled heavy machine.
Mbaki is a Sound or audio engineer and sound designer who was born on the eleventh of October 1985. He attended Ntshamane primary school; from 1992 to 1998, John Talach Secondary from 1999 to 2002, and Milton high school. Mbaki did his sound engineering diploma at Northampton College. He is the founder of the company called Audio Academy. He does productions online called Local Cona, www, FACEBOOK.COM/LOCAL CONA. He also owns a studio called House of Gruv. Mr. Nleya has recorded so many projects which include people such as Slizer, Vee, Jeff Matheatau, Mingo Touch, Ministry of Defense project (musicians against crime).
He also managed to do live sound for musicians like Zahara,AfricanJazz Pioneers, Micassa , Winnie Mashaba ,The late Dr Mtukudzi, Benjamin Dube jus to mention a few. He is a bass player, piano player, camera, and film editor as well.
Pamela Dzvinamurungu is an actor, singer, model and a makeup artist .her stage name is Pamzy. Pamzy took her musical talent seriously after winning first runner up prize on StarBrite Talent Search Show in Harare. As part of her price she got a scholarship to attend musical lessons at Music Crossroads Academy for the whole of 2017.pamzy has always enjoyed singing since grade three and her school teachers encouraged her to join the school choir and then from there she was told join the senior school choir because of her captivating voice.
Pamzy has managed to share the stage with the big artists such as the late Dr Oliver Mtukudzi in 2017 at the HIFA Main stage. She also shared the stage with Guspy Warrior and Prudence Katomeni Mbofana just to mention a few.
Currently Pamela Dvinamurungu aka Pamzy is currently working on a short film titled” Pfimbi” (coming out soon)and she is working on her singles with the House of Gruv Studio as well. Her vision aims to own her own record label and to be recognized internationally as a musician.
Tariro is a radio presenter of the Capitalk 100.4 Fm. She is also a business owner and events planner who is passionate about arts. Miss Manamike holds a degree for Bachelor of Science in Management and entrepreneurial specializing in marketing management. She is an ambitious young lady born and raised in Harare in 1986 being the first born in a family of three. She boasts an impressive carrier working as a radio presenter, producer, motivational speaker and a writer as well as a marketer. Tariro is also a writer who produces staff for the radio and produce documentaries. Her carrier as a broadcaster stated in December 2015after attending certain auditions. She also has the experience in print and advertising industry. She owns a programme called Tarie-Anne Stonya’s magazine radio show that airs on Capitalk 100.4 FM from 9am to 12midday.
Clive Mukundu is a Zimbabwean music producer, session musician, composer and multi- instrumentalist but known better as a lead guitarist. He was born on Tuesday the 15th of September 1970 in the small town of Rusape, Zimbabwe. Clive is married with two children Tariro and Takakunda.
Clive grew up in Harare high destiny areas of Kambuzuma, Kuwadzana and Mufakose. During his school days he had a single dreadlock (Mono –lock) hairstyle that earned him the nickname Mono from he`s peers. His first interest in music was noticeable at a tender age, however this was against his father`s wishes so each time he was seen holding any musical instrument he received corporal punishment. Mono was resilient to the opposition that at the age of 9 he had made a homemade tin guitar which he played in private. It was at this age he began composing music.
At the age of 17, Mono met Last Saidi, a bass player who taught him his first 3 chords on the standard guitar, he then went on to teach himself to play the lead guitar by coping other guitarists on radio and other guitarist he came in contact with and formed he`s first band Sarungano chanters. The band failed more than 10record deals auditions which had a toll on the band members and this led to the group`s disbandment end of 1989. In 1989 he then joined Chax brothers a band that played sungura, reggae and mbira music, the band included Admire Kasenga and Jackson Phiri and Mono later left the band in 1990. He then co-founded the band Chikokoko, based in Mutare at Tsvingwe bar in Penhalonga, Mutare and then Dangamvura hotel, he left Mutare end of 1991 and he recorded the album Ruvengo in 1992, then he left the band in 1993 and formed Raggae Duo with friend Christopher Kamowa “Chris and Mono”, disbanded after the failure of a number of demo tapes.
He has worked different bands including John Ali and the Marakashi band, Kwasa-kwasa kings and Egea gospel train in June 1994 after converting to Christianity, the band included Ivy Kombo, Annnie Kombo and Carol Mujokoro and recorded the album. Ndinokudai Jesu” and toured around Zimbabwe and Mozambique doing outreach programs. He also toured countries like Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi with the church Christian life centre (Faith in God church) as a gospel outreach musician for their band `Clicet crusaders` and recorded one album.
2001 he enrolled at Zimbabwe College of music on the national certificate in music program and graduated 2002 and also awarded best guitar student award. He then went on to teach at College of music, Prince Edward and Don Bosco youth training center. Mono has worked with many international as well as local artist including the late Oliver Mtukudzi, Chioniso Maraire, Shingisai Suluma, Mango groove and Lufuno Dagada. He has 11 albums in his name and produced for various artists as well.
Patience Lusengo is a multi talented entrepreneur with diverse specialty in the local and international areas of fashion, modeling, entertainment, event management, PR/marketing. In addition to that she hosts cutting edge corporate image and communication workshops with teenagers and is also a children`s yoga teacher with 20years of experience in each field. Noir models, artists musicians and celebrities. Has been running for 24years, Noir models is a part of the NAMA (National Association of Modeling Agencies) Miss Zimbabwe international has been running for the past 18years and Patience is responsible for coordinating the Miss Zimbabwe international pageant and fashion shows. The shows are conducted in the USA, Canada, Germany, Australia, The United Kingdom and South Africa. She also runs workshops under the name Code teen which is the new millennium experience which speaks the language of the 21st century teenage girl to motivate, inspire and empower teen girls on crucial adolescent life skills issues. Lastly she is a judge, mentor and coordinator of Zimbabwe`s biggest talent show competition, StarBrite Zimbabwe with boasts over 10million viewers. StarBrite is currently showing on TV and DSTV channel 206.
Robert Mukondiwa is a Zimbabwean based scriptwriter, author, biographer, television journalist, voiceover-artiste, and presenter, arts, film and music critic from Zimbabwe. He has extensive experience in unique and innovative media and communication consultancy and portfolios.
Mukondiwa is frequently speaker at film media and innovation functions and serves on the Girl Child Network Zimbabwe Board, having successfully nominated the founder for the prestigious CNN Heroes Award. He holds many awards in the field of news reporting , features reporting, tourism and travel reporting, human rights defense, women and girl rights and public speaking and was a finalist in the CNN African journalist of the year awards.
