Gerald Masara is a 26 year old singer who has learnt and perfected his singing ability in prison. He has achieved this through emulating local and international artists. Art has always been in his passion from a tender age of 10 and he always found himself singing tunes and winning prizes on road shows and school competitions through music and dance.
Music being his passion, he has managed to reach the Starbrite Competition finals and his goal is to be the best Starbrite Ambassador. He is intending to study Musicology with the ambition of building a record label and eventually a music academy. His greatest achievement was finding lyrical soundness while incarcerated.
With the support of the rehab office, he has been able to gain more skills and has managed to endure in his endeavors. He got the chance to participate in a short film with other inmates. His genre of music leans towards Zim- dancehall, International dancehall, conscious reggae and rock reggae. As an artist he is not shy to try out and pursue different genres as he is currently looking forward to singing Dancehall pop and collaborate with other R’n’B artists.
