Marshall Orator Sango is into writing and performing poems, song and script writer, author, wordsmith, a lyricist who spites fire tongues and paints with words. He is a philosopher, a Pan Africanist who believes that Africa should escape from the trap of foreign ideological hegemony and conceive independent thoughts. Marshall was born in 1990 at Chiredzi Hospital.
He was raised in Hatfield and Mabvuku respectively. During his Advanced Level days at Cranborne Boys High School, he was a performer. Whenever he performed, he would always speak with eloquence and the audience would always burst into applause in adoration of his portraits perfectly crafted with meaningful words and rhymes. Furthermore, this is also what made him stride boldly with confidence to take up performance poetry as soon as he finished his Advanced Level in 2012. He still intends to further his Studies in Law so as to grow intellectually.
Marshall Orator Sango is fully devoted to the acquisition of knowledge and distilling it into wisdom, so that he can effectively utter his self-conscience. He is the only Zimbabwean poet who made it into the top three at Breaking Barriers International Poetry slam, (Shoko Festival 2013.) which saw him walk away with the grand prizes.
