Born on the 5th July 1991, Petros Sipuno started singing when he was a grade five (5) pupil, mostly in the church choir.
Young Petros draws inspiration from his mother and mentor, who is also artist in her own right as she is a comedian, singer and preacher.
His favourite artist is African living legend Salif Keita, who is called “the golden voice of Africa”. He likes him because of his strong voice and the fact that he can sing high notes, effortlessly.
In Zimbabwe, Progress Chipfumo is his stand out musician as he likes his natural voice and the way he composes his songs. Petros describes the euphoria of Chipfumo’s guitar prowess as, “When he plays the guitar I feel like I am the first string.”
