He was born and bred in a family of two children by a single mother. His father passed away in 2003 when he was only 5 years old. His mother had to go to South Africa so as to work there and take care of the family since she was the breadwinner. He was forced to mature quickly because 5 years after his father died his elder sister got married and he started staying home alone.
Unlike other kids he had to go to Mavuradonha high school by himself to look for a form one place since he had passed his grade seven with flying colors. For him it's been hard to live without a father figure in the family since his father’s death, the family has been divided.
His passion for music started when he was in primary school where he used to participate in the school choir and at one time almost got banned from doing music because his mother didn't believe that one can actually make it through music so he was compelled to stick to books only. He kept on doing music though he was not allowed to do music so he had to balance the two that is 'music and books'.
One of his best moments is when he got the chance to be part of the StarBrite finalist team, through thorough practice and supervision from Mr Mpariwa. He believe he got turned from being a singer into a musician. One of the challenges that Moreni has faced is convincing his mother is that one can make it through music.
His aspiration is to be an international RnB artist and also teaching through music, through music he wishes to teach about identity crisis and love since it is universal.
