He comes from a humble family and he has 6 sibling's , the eldest being a sister and the last born is also a sister. His parents made it a point to educate them well. The highest achiever in the family is his elder brother who attained an IT degree at UNISA and his young sister who has an Honour’s in biology. Mpume managed to get a degree in theological studies which has helped him tremendously in shaping his sound and creativity circles. He has passion in music and his favorite quote is from an anonymous philosopher, "we wage war, not with iron and steel but heart and soul, to become an incredible army of creativity", its from this he stands on the mantra, no limit no measure". Singing is a passion to him, in so many ways. He enjoys spending the whole day or even the whole night doing rehearsals because it’s something he loves.
For him, meeting Mr B Mpariwa has-been a great highlight in his life because Mr Mpariwa brought to light Mpume’s music character and approach in his craft enhanced exponentially. He feels that he owe StarBrite his best. He had spent many years seeking to reach high platforms and StarBrite has given him exactly what he needed.
He faced so many challenges, sometimes asking how on earth going to do the assignments, considering the spiking of data charges? This including logistical limitations at times realised by overtures of overlapping economic strangle has been hampering his quick assent into the sphere of achievement. Not taking away anything, StarBrite has made him recognize via the mud pool, an ability to conjure up results irregardless of scenarios present.
Mpume’s experience is actually a double parody. Having first entered StarBrite in 2016 in season 5, he enjoyed the amazing tutorage from many coaches like coach Brian and coach TB. He managed to make good friends, like Brandon, Norman and so many more. This has really been the biggest highlight for him (synergies born from friendship) What he learnt and benefited are far too numerous to list in full here but to echo pretty much the same as stated in his previous clause, the benefits he is realising in his life are Respect,Character, Friendships, Skills, and a platform to showcase his talent. The first time walking out of the gate of his home, with the determination in mind to win StarBrite, people for the first time had respect and were in support at his choice pursuit in life. Before then it was like he was just passing time, but now people really understand and take him seriously. His future rests solely on this conviction.. "to effect lives positively with a message of inspiration". In summary he seeks to have achieved the following within 5 years, to have done 7 albums, to have his music playing in leading radio's and TV media world over, to have accrued enough financial influence that he can be able to start a philanthropic foundation taskedwithaffording children support in schooling and refuge. and he want to get married.
