Milazi Milano Pantsula is a dance group of 3 energetic young men, Dumisani Ngwenya, Prince Sibanda and Partson Phiri, all hailing from Nkulumane in Bulawayo. These three share the same interests when it comes to dancing and they use their dancing passion to change their lives and also to inspire others to pursue their dreams.
The dance group started in 2o14 with only 2 members, Dumisani and Prince and in 2017, when the two dancers were invited to a wedding they met Partson and that how they started dancing as Milazi Milano Pantsula dance group.
Dumisani Efias Ngwenya is a young man who was born on the 4th of May 1999 and raised in Bulawayo. He is the eldest in a family of two boys and one girl who stays in Nkulumane with both parents.
Prince Sibanda is a 20 year old young man born on the 15th of July 2000 and raised in Bulawayo. He stays in Nkulumane with 7members of his family. Partson Phiri is a 20 year old man born on the 18th of June and raised in Bulawayo. He lives with his mother in Nkulumane suburbs.
The group faced quite a number of challenges, one a society that does not generally believe in dancing which believes that when one dances it’s a sign of desperation. The biggest challenge was acceptance from the society though people may see how good one is they do not believe one can make a living out of a dancing career. Some other challenges faced by the group include lack of shows where they could perform poor remunerations from the shows that they get once in a while and also the facilities to rehearse and perfect their skills.
The most interesting part is how the attitude of the people in the society changed after seeing the progress in the StarBrite competition. The Milazi Milano Pantsula are full time dancers and currently training other upcoming dancers in Nkulumane, they are so passionate about dancing Isipantsula and that passion led them to join Star brite season 8 competition. One of the most defining moments of their journey is being in the Grand Finale considering how much effort they have put into dancing.
