Born in Murewa in 1979, almost died before I was born when my mom was attacked during the war and she fell over a rock. Grew up in Highfields, Western Triangle and went to Rusvingo Primary School where i was in the junior choir from grade 5 to 7. I did high school at Highfields High 1 School. In 1992 I auditioned for Starbrite as part of a dance crew call R.A.T.S (Robert, Antony, Tafadzwa and Shingie).
I was taught how to DJ by Ashon Mwanjira from 1992 and became a club DJ in 1996. I did a diploma in Communications and Journalism from 2000 and graduated in 2002.
While I was on attachment at Sportnet ZBC I went and auditioned for radio at radio 3 and joined the station in May 2002 as a part time presenter and a year after i signed a full time contract. In 2006 while on air i got a call and was offered a job as a drivetime presenter at Malawi’s top station Power 101. I was there for 3 years and also started a career on TV hosting a Carlsberg Beer show. I also got into audio production doing radio imaging. In March 2009 I got an offer at Kaya FM in South Africa and moved there right away. My work permit took too long to come out and I ended up joining another station. In total I was on 4 radio stations in SA. In June 2012 I joined ZiFM Stereo where I am currently the Programmers Manager.
